Working on the lamp project with a custom PCB that would have Nodemcu Amica in the center of it. (mounted like on the breadboard)
Spend a few days searching the internet on how to decide which fuse to use on the PCB for the possible short circuit protection.

Led strip max consumption is 1.5A + 0.5A from Nodemcu top. This would be fed by a 2A USB hub.
I tried choosing a PTC fuse, but could not find any for 5v 2A+ max. Also tried to choose the e-fuse, but those are not on the market in Ukraine and it will take several weeks to get it from the aliexpress.

Really new to PCB design, having quite basic knowledge of electronics. But lack understanding about the correct fuse selection, so looking for help/info on this topic.

Cheers

Welcome to AAC!

What USB version is the hub?

If your device is a USB decoration (i.e. doesn't know how to negotiate with the host for high power), the host should limit current to one load. A USB compliant host should also be able to handle overcurrent conditions. The USB specifications prefer that the device be self-resetting for overcurrent situations, so they should be using PTC fuses.
