Check if your amp has a I2C library online. If so you could use an Arduino to send the commands without you having to know the I2C protocol.

 

Yea, the amp comes with some sample code for Arduino, but quite frankly I don't know anything about Arduino, and I just want to get it going with the platform I'm familiar with.

The PSoC I'm using comes with a I2C module, I just need to learn how to use it.

 

Then you have two possible solutions. I'm sure you will get one of them working.
