Hi,

Can anyone provide me the circuit of a 6V 10A SMPS along with transformer design details?

Or give me a high current regulator which will regulate a 12V 15A to 6V 10A without much components. I mean I do not have space for having heatsinks.

6V * 10A = 60 Watts power out.
If you get a design that's 85% efficient (which isn't bad at all) then you'll have 66 Watts input. You'll have to get rid of the 6 Watts of heat somehow, or your project will have a melt-down.

If you "don't have room for heat sinks", you better re-think your entire design.

I would boost the output of the National Semiconductor Simple Switcher IC with an external tranasistor (bipolar or MOSFET) to step your 12v down to 6V.

 

Or try something like in a an LTspice simulation (you will have to modify as needed).

I'm confused. Why 6V * 10A is = to 138.6 watts? Wouldn't that be 60W?

Thank you for correcting my stupidity. All I can offer as an excuse for my original very incorrect reply is that the coffee had not taken effect yet.

 

WOAH, I gotta get me some of that coffee. Maybe that will help my calculations... which are usually grossly missed.
