hi all
i am working on project with TLC555C timer but the out put freq fluctuates 28kh..28.5khz..29khz..30khz !

R1=1k ...R2=2k...C1=10n *** about 28.5khz.....output load 1k

i tried slower freq but the problem still there!
R1=1k ...R2=2k...C1=100n *** about 2.8khz.....output load 1k

i am using 9v battery ..i tried another ne555 chip but no success
what is the wrong?

 

Try adding a 10nF capacitor between pin 5 and common.
Also add a 100nF capacitor between pin 8 and common.

 

Does your 9V battery remain at 9V while powering the '555 or does the voltage drop after a while?

 

Long wires can cause problems. A picture of how you wired the circuit might be in order.
