CHICAGO!

I snagged a ticket. They were highly sought after. I wanted to go with my female friend, but she couldn’t make it. However, she talked me into going by myself.

Chicago! I fell in love with them in the 60s. They are still touring today, 50+ years later, with four members of the original band. Walter Paraizeder (sax), Robert Lamm (keyboard), Lee Loughnaine (trumpet) and James “Jimmy” Pankow (trombone). Saw them perform this month in Boston.

If you can’t get enough of death metal (I mean who doesn’t!), you’re in luck: the YouTube channel Dadabots generates a livestream of brand-new death metal music 24/7 using artificial intelligence.

Oh man, my 22 year old kid is so much into listening that crap (fortunately, he doesn't follow the culture) ... and I keep telling him that it's just a collection of random, distorted noise... now this article has proved me right.

Upset about only just find him. Balalaika is kind of a Russian instrument (would have likely originated from one of many earlier Asian stringed instruments) that was often ridiculed as being too crude compared to a violin...

Ever heard of Estas Tonne? I've been playing the guitar since I was 6, and there's no way in my wildest dreams I could've imagined someone playing like him.

I'm curious what about his playing you find impressive/unimaginable. For me, the playing in the piece you linked felt rather pedestrian, so I'm thinking it was the effects he used. If you're interested in sounding like that, it's easily achieved using a short delay (with a longish decaying repeat) followed by a 16th-note tremelo. Your wildest dreams are within reach. :)
