A bit off topic but hey it is my thread.

I had the pleasure of seeing Tony and his beautiful daughter perform more than once on my my sailing trips to the BVI.

Tony could always make me smile and I still miss him.

 

In the "Holiday Spirit"....

Most have heard the iconic Eartha Kitt's, Santa Baby. Her voice is absolutely perfect for the song.

I learned today that her xmas list, in today's dollars would be one billion!

While I believe that nobody could do that song better, many have tried....

Her net worth is posted as ~ 320 million, so that is more than a three-fold increase in her net worth.

...and this, well, I get it, everybody appreciates music differently...I guess I am under-appreciating the worth of this version, regardless of list

 

I guess this video has been on YouTube for about 10 years. Funny I never ran across until yesterday.

It is one the most stunning performance I've ever seen, both auditorily and visually.

I'm gonna have to go see one of these live at some point.

BTW, I wasn't a Donna Summer fan. She was way too pop for me -- and way overplayed. But had she done it like this, I might have felt differently.
