Multimeter gone wild

Hi everyone,

My multimeter started to act weird when measuring DC voltage. All readings are way higher than expected. I tested a few sources that I'm reasonably sure about and the results are way off:
- AA battery 1.5V - reading is 21V
- power supply 12V - reading is 170V
- power supply 20V - reading is 275V
It seems that the error is almost linear, like actual reading is multiplied by a constant value (~14).

Is there anything that could be done here? Any suggestions are very appreciated!

P.S. I replaced the batteries with a fresh set.

Welcome to AAC!

Are you taking all of these measurements on the same range?

What is the DMM model?
Hi Denis,
It's auto-ranging, or, at least, it was before this issue. If I manually select a range with a button, the reading doesn't change.
Model is Mastercraft 052-0052-2.

Appreciate your help!
