I am a amateur at best and have limited experience, I hope some one can help me out with this issue. I have a marine icemaker (uline) that I took the Icemaker component out, it was in disrepair, its my intentions to use the rest as a freezer. I had to change some wiring to bypass the actual Ice maker to get power to the compressor and related controls. It runs fine until the compressor shuts off then it trips the breaker occasionally, I'm thinking it is caused by voltage spike due to the missing components? Can I solve this problem by installing a mov?

What is the voltage and current required to run the compressor?
What is the current rating of the breaker?
