I am working on my new project . This project haveone ATMEGA 328 P and motors . I was trying to run the motor & controller on the same supply but controller get reset. it is a well known problem but my project cannot afford 2 power sources So I need to design anew power supply

can anyone suggest a relevant tutorial or design I can follow for supply design.

Keep motor ground and circuit ground separate except where they come together at battery.
Monitor voltage when motor starts. Powersupply must be able to source this current without voltage sag. If voltage drops when motor starts. Redesign using higher current capable supply

 

Isolate the mcu's rail from the motor's rail. It can be done via a resistor + capacitor, or a diode + capacitor, or a regulator.... all depends on what's available to you.

let me add my circuit details. please find attachment I think the SMPS used should not create the problem as it is very stable. (expecting so)

fo I need to design a new supply so what are points should I consider for designing such power supply ?? ????2??
