Hello guys,

this is my first post here. Hope this forum is correct and someone can help me here.
I work for a german car manifacturer and we do a small project with one of our suppliers.

So basically the supplier developed an app for us with which you can book a car. So like car sharing.
They bought one IOT Module from Continental an soldered a car key on it.

The soldering is kinda not the best option for us.

Do you think it is possible to add to the pcb from continental another modified pcb where we can put the car key like an usb stick?

We would still open the car key and get the pcb of that car key but we dont want the soldering. It takes to much time and the key gets destroyed.

So the second pcb would be like a receiver were the contacts would be perfectly adjusted to the key.

Since you work for the manufacturer and have access to the people who designed and built the modules, the app, and has the details on how everything works did you try to ask them? Normally a car manufacturer has a team of engineers dedicated to figuring out how to do things like this instead of asking random people on an internet forum.

I apologize if that sounds rude, but you are asking questions about products the general public does not have the basic information needed to even begin to come up with a solution. It almost sounds you are trying to build a device that could be used in a way that people in their right mind would have no part of.
