Is there a way to modify this xy-mk-5v module to make HIGH output go LOW instead and LOW output go HIGH instead? Perhaps by cutting a trace pcb, soldering to somewhere else on the board, or removing a component?

 

No, not quite that simple.
It wouldn't be too difficult to make a circuit to invert the data between the receiver and wherever the data is going.
It might also be easier to modify where the data is going to accept inverted data - especially if it is a microcontroller of some sort.

Are you positive there is no way to adjust the op amp part of the circuit without adding components aside from maybe a bridge based on the schematic that was attached? I am trying to keep it extremely lightweight.
