Hello, i bought Miele h5040bm (oven+microwave) via ebay. Even seller claimed its working it was fraud ... and machine is working partially. As it was left in the cellar i cant make complaint via ebay...
By partially i mean - oven producing heat - looks like
but Microwave cant heat 250ml of the water.

I read few threads / youtube widows and it looks like its common failure in these machines - ie micro part stop to work.

People are saying the issue might be - diode, capacitor 1.18uF 2100V, transformer or magnetron.

I opened top and found out that 12A fuse is dead. Is there a way to make some assumption what could cause that fuse died?

I was thinking if there is some way to start to replace diode, cap so basically remove everything before Transformer & magnetron.

Can help and advise what diodes are on cap and if there is possible to buy/order these including spare cap?

From the photos - i think the fuse is on the board which is connected to magnetron.

Thank you so much!

Do a resistance check of the diode and capacitor, which are likely components to fail.
Failure of either of those could have caused the fuse to blow.

@crutschow thank u so much.
Chat gpt says - is it valid?
✅ Testing & replacement tips

  • Safety first: unplug, discharge the HV capacitor.
  • Use an ohmmeter (×10 k setting) to measure resistance:
  • If it reads short or open both ways, it likely needs replacing.

Also what are these diodes is it RG112 and RG2110?

it looks like these diodes are sell as a pair? but how to identify its model/brand?

edit seems that
RG112 (12Kv, 350ma) - > replacement is CL01‑12
RG2110 (10 kV, 500mA -> replacement CL04‑12

1.18uF /2100V -> replacement i found 1.2uF/2100V or 1.1uF /2100V https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226250918273
any idea which once can fit?

magnetro is Toshiba 2M282H -> but can i replace with Toshiba 2M282J

am i correct? Thanks!

RG112 is a protection diode to clamp high voltages.
RG2110 is a rectifier diode.
RG112 (12Kv, 350ma) - > replacement is CL01‑12

Plastic High Voltage Rectifier

RG2110 (10 kV, 500mA -> replacement CL04‑12
https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/887380/AMMSEMI/CL04-12.html

both are rectifier diode?

here-> it seems they use both numbers cl04-12/ RG112 on the same diode.
I cant google RG112 Datasheet

thats from chatGPT
In Microwave Ovens

In a microwave’s HV circuit:

  • The diode (like RG112) converts AC to high-voltage DC.
  • The capacitor smooths the voltage and may have a built-in resistor for discharge.
  • No clamping diode is used — if overvoltage occurs, it usually damages the diode or capacitor.

✅ Summary

  • RG112 is a high-voltage rectifier diode, not a protection diode.
  • It’s used to convert high-voltage AC to DC, especially for the magnetron.
  • If you're looking for voltage clamping or spike protection, you'd need a different type of diode (e.g., TVS diode, Zener, varistor).

You want to believe chatGBT instead of a human than go for it, but don't ask humans here for help. :rolleyes:

@crutschow i do believe humans and i dont believe AI (it might hallucinate)

I just used it for a quick check /suggestions to provide maybe "support" to my question.

I am still happy and i do welcome if someone can help here ;( as i feel desperate ... cant find spec of these original Diodes...
and apparently no discussion threads/ nothing on google regarding the replacements.

And also i was just told its no fun to repair microwave as that capacitor can kill person. So i might order someone to replace components but still have to find / buy him replacements.

Edit2: @crutschow and really its electronics, high voltage capacitors, 230V so its no fun to make any step here for DYI. I am really afraid now, thats why i need suggestion 100% correct from human being not google / AI. Its no fun.

thank you

9 of 10 microwave oven fuses blown are from fast opening the door while oven is working. Microswitch contacts inertia. Hit the off/reset button instead. Buy several fuses to spare and retest.

Is there a door interlock switch which shorts the power if the door is open (and thus blows the fuse)?
I've never seen one that shorts. They're designed to simply open the circuit and remove power to all components downstream of that safety switch.
