i have a feeling it wouldn't sell. As I understand it, the bagpipes are an instument steeped in rigid tradition. I suspect if someone were seen playing electronic bagpipes, they may be mauled by an angry mob.

True, bagpipes have alot of history, and there is ALOT of resistance to change. Late 1800's, a chap had the idea of adding a few keys to extend the range of the pipes, by about four notes. Much like a simple clarinet.

His fellow competitors were horrified, took his modified chanter, and snapped it!

However, there already are electronic bagpipes.

But they are only ever really used to practice, especially in busy areas. It's just a small tube with capacitive sensing and you can plug in earphones. It's a lot smaller than the real thing, and a lot quieter too.

My ideas are for something different... I won't say what quite yet, because it's a good idea and I don't want a present company nicking it.

I need something to pay for beer - er - I mean saving up for uni and then a good deposit on a house.
