Are there any budget minded ways to get magnified video while working on SMD components on circuit boards?

The pads. I'm needing to do some rework. Specifically I need to replace a USB charging port.

Anyone remember Roman Blacks name here? He did a very cool mod of a PC camera to work as a magnifying camera that outputs directly to a computer VGA screen.

That should be in our archives somewhere.

I suggest a magnifier visor.

But you'll probably need a hot air tool to remove the existing part without damaging the circuit board.
