Hello

Nice to meet you, Sir!. I like you for everything you do for us, for every great advice. Can I ask you some questions about simulation SPICE of electrical schematic, which contains a photodiode PIN InAsGas IG17 with 1700nm and some transistor BFP420, which finally this electric schematic is a trans-impedance amplifier? Here is the data-sheet. https://www.lasercomponents.com/de-en/product/ingaas-500-2600-nm/ https://www.lasercomponents.com/fileadmin/user_upload/home/Datasheets/lc-ingaas/ig17-series.pdf

Thank you for understanding,
Dragos.

start from reading the application notes from your photo-diode provider and from the providers of the similar devices
and other topics that more or less match your intended application setup
. . . in order to verify (once you get your simulation running)
? how accurately it's running
? does it run how it supposed to
? in what conditions it matches the reality best
etc.

you either must provide your "luminous" input somehow programmatically or use the opto -- addressing that the emitter and detector are at a close proximity . . . (reverse biased Ph-D sim. using built in components)

I want to know if it is possible to model a photodiode InGasAs panchromatic PIN , in accord with datasheet, in simulator SPICE MicroCAP 12. or LTspice Because the supllier where I boughit it has not a SPICE model. And if it is possible, which are those steps. Here it is data-sheet https://www.tme.eu/Document/726cc5089c90f506f2d9a008ec28a891/ig17.pdf And below I will attach a electric schematic, a transimpedance amplifier with phototdiode, used like receiver of smoke.I want to monitor graphically the impulse of photodiode in function of output of transimpedance for sensibilty. There is type of photodiode, which I found it in library Micro-CAP 12, it is simpe photodiode, which does not follow in accord in datasheet. There is photodiode macro.

Thank you.

You have the photodiode connected wrong and/or the symbol is incorrect.

According to Photo_2:
The control terminal is "IN". "A" is anode. "C" is cathode.
The control terminal is used to simulate the amount of "light" absorbed by the diode and controls the current thru the diode.

That depends how easily you are satisfied :). You can modify the model if you want to, to get a response nearer to the datasheet spec.

I do not think that the macro-model for photodiode is correct. Can you help me with modeling that photodiode in function/accord with datasheet?:)
