I'm a novice at best, looking for information on a adapter i would like to modify. 9v system low to high impedance its related to aviation headsets.

What’s the problem you’re trying to solve?

It‘s ok to plug a high impedance load (headphones) into a low impedance source (amplifier). The reverse is not true: an 8ohm speaker plugged into a headphone port might overload the source.

 

Certainly an 8 ohm speaker connected to a high impedance headphone output will not perform very well. In addition, in some of those poorly designed circuits, it may cause damage.
But the meaning of " 9v system " is a bit unclear to me, especially as it relates to headphones. What sort of output is the TS wanting to connect to an aviation type headphone??? There is a lot of information not given.
