Hello,
What kind of things do you want to do with the multi media stuff?
A raspberry pi can also do a lot:

Mine is D270. It works ok. I put ssd in there and upgraded the ram. Since the chipset will only see 4 GB of ram, I put 32 bit Win7 on it, no point wasting 64 bit os on it.I too had a Acer D255 that came with Win7...best thing I ever did was get rid of that & install WinXp....yeah yeah I know XP isn't supported anymore, but it works far more briskly than Win7. Actually come to think of it I have installed the windows version of XBMC on it, haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet.
Possibly. They were used in the Phoenix Contact product line because they could work inside an industrial cabinet (NEMA-12) without any forced air cooling. I doubt they are the low power family now. If you want to jump into that pool you will be competing with lots of folks with deeper pockets than yours. BTW you really don't get to carp about answers you don't like when you ask an open ended question.Isn't Atom the mobile line?
