100k for a basic plastic enclosure? I have designed plastic enclosures before myself in a few hours. It costs less than a thousand for a die or mold fee and your cost from there on is simply a margin over the going rate per kilo of ABS plastic. You must be that guy that charged the air force $500k for a toilet, can I hire you to be on my marketing team?

What about the other costs ?
If you want to take in the plastic case, it will need rf shielding to attenuate the two sides of the system from interfering , were fine with that , we can just supply the board.
The case is part of the approvals processes , obviously if the unit fails approval we can not be held responsible for your case
Are the other numbers as your expecting ? Seems we charge less per hour than you do .

Who mentioned make it open source ? We can do that if you want, but we would have to discuss that and the implications on loss of any of our potential ip.
Our proposal on costs was made I good faith, based upon the many systems we have designed rf and mobile phone sysyems for companies.
