Took awhile but I now remember that article.

This IS NOT the article that was in "POPULAR ELECTRONICS" in the same general era. Probably similar, but not the same article. That much is certain because I never read, nor subscribed, to the "Electronics Hobbyist" quarterly publication.

 

Honestly, its EXACTLY the same article, even the illustrations. I believe that eventually the publisher bought all articles from the 2 magazines, and ultimately started publishing compilations of both magazines...but of course I could be wrong
