Aim is to deactivate the lock on a auto gate while the timer is active, timer has a normally open contact closed while active witch holds the gate open.If the time clock output is a closed contact, then use that to switch the relay coil from a 12V power source, such as a wall-wort supply.
I see no problem with that, but add a diode (e.g. 1N4848) across the relay coil (cathode to positive) to suppress arcing across the clock contacts when they open.Not sure if there will be an issuse sending 12v to these contacts 60-62 or this would work?
