does anyone have some documentation on what this motorola chip does. I found it in a circuit and do not know... seems to be an older chip, but I did find some stock available for it at $6/chip.

thanks.

thanks mate... I must admit I am pretty new to much of this...

is this in some ways comparable to a LM339 chip? are these voltage comparators, but utilizing a single input voltage.

thanks for the super fast reply on the datasheet.

No. The LM339 is a quad comparator. When its + input is higher than the - input the output connects to ground, otherwise it is floating.

You could replace an LM2902 with an LM124 directly as it's a better-than IC; but the LM124 would be more expensive.

Various outlets such as Radio Shack in the USA sell the LM324, but it does not have as broad of an operating temperature range as the LM2902 does.

okay - yes I see that. seems like LM124 actually has a higher operating temp range than the LM2902.

other than that would LM124 be a direct replacement.

thanks.
