LED aren't lighting up in series

Those blinking LEDs, in fact, consist a complex circuit inside:rolleyes:
They are called "LEDS", but, in fact, at least three different light emiting crystals and a driver circuit placed in the same package. Naturally, they do not work in the same way, as a red LED, or a green LED. Connect a resistor of 10 kOhm or so in parallel to each LED. And a capacitor of 10 uF in parallel to each LED

Definitely need a bypass zener, as if they are in the “off” part of a blink then they supply no power to the other two in the series chain, which means that the “off“ one gets all the voltage.

According to datasheet provided by Danko the best way is to use an adapter from a mobile phone with output of 5V . And to connect all 4 LEDS in parallel.
Stable voltage for all LEDs, stable operation, and isolated from mains for safety
