Hi,

If I am using a lithium polymer (lipoly) batter (4.2 - 3.7ish volts) as my source...into a module that needs 3.3v do I need to use a capacitor on the output side of my ldo if I am using a Mcp1701 (3.3v) low voltage regulator, or can I do without it? I need a stable 3.3v with around 250mah...

Thanks!

I tried it anyway on a test circuit...the current fluctuates between 1.6 and 2.2 volts.. The output should be 3.3.. So I guess I need to put in a capacitor...

Questions like the one in the OP usually come from not reading the respective datasheet.

RTFM should be compulsory by law. Lot of posts would not see the light.
