I have an old control board from a Pro-Form exercise bike. The board works fine and has a nice sized monochrome LCD. My kids and I are trying to see if we can control the LCD screen but I cannot find any information on this component. It is quite possible that this is well beyond my limited electronics understanding but I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction to find a datasheet or what type of control chip is used.
The board with the LCD mounted/connected is shown in the first two images. The board with the LCD removed is shown in the second two images.
We have tried following the traces, but get lost in the weeds. The LCD panel itself is a thin sandwich of two polycarbonate plates with everything, we assume, telling hidden. We have not been able to open the LCD to see the innards.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
