hi all, I thought this topic may have been covered already but couldnt find anything so here goes.

does anyone know where I could get a custom faceplate made? websites etc...

eg lasercut alluminium, perspex etc to a design that the customer (myself) provides.

I've seen a few of these sites in the past, well over a year ago and now that I'm actually looking for them I can't find any...

We have tried out cam expert www.cam-expert.com, after we where customers by front panel express for many years, it turned out, that cam expert is doing a excellent job. Price is less and turnaround time is faster.
They are very helpful. They accept your material as well they have a good stock. They also accept many drawing files. It is worth to try them out.

I haven't used either, although Front Panel Express sounds pretty reasonable. If I ever get to a standard design for my stuff, I will try them out. Everything I put together tends to be mod X, version Y.
