Hi all I'm renovating my old standard shaped work space for something a bit more dense.but organised I like having the test equipment soldering and microscope all in reach and less frequently use tools stacked up. The main question I'm looking at is regarding preface on displays...

I currently have an angled touchscreen Infront of me I can use an elgato sort of device to switch what's on my TV over head (I ideas my monitor) or to open board view and then I can actively mover around it and even move up to the larger screen IV liked using the TV for it's size I can have plenty of stuff open at once.

But in the revamp im wondering if just 2 monitors and the touch would be better all lower down so I can shelve up more with tools and test equipment.

The other option is I have 2 40" TVs spare that are thin and my GPU allows me to split them into 4 so my microscope documents etc all at the same time for refranceing

this was about the second day after the original set up the corner pc is now gone i simply used that to record from my scope logic analizer etc plus it was handy for its mutiple serial ports.

so im rebuilding that l shape but wall to all with a shelf under each bench but i also need some space for a 19" rack for some equipmet i need in there current ly my server rack is also in there but that being relocated to the attic as we speak.

so i wondering if its best to run a shelf wall to wall on the same l shape and maybe put 2 monitors on the shelf aswell as the equipment or just use the tvs for the realestate the touch screen is brillant for work flow and control and quicky moving around board view

as i said this is empty compared to its current state but im mid rip out there are cables everywhere and boxes of equipment on the landing

i need to get it done before the wife blows her top
