Good evening. In laymans terms, how does one go about creating a symbol in KICAD? Secondly, if there is a symbol that is close, can it be modified and then saved to another name to use at a later date? Lastly, is a symbol the same thing as a library? Thank you in advance. Take it easy on me. I am not an electronics engineer

 

By symbol, do you mean a schematic symbol, or a footprint?

Schematic Symbol. My problem is I learn how to do it and then don't use it for a while. Then I have to learn all over again. Should make a video for myself lol.
