In using Kicad, anyone successfully placed board separation slits for making two separate circuits on the same board outline that can be snapped apart after production?.
Evidently there is a way in Kicad but so far have not found it.

Slots should be drawn on the layer called "Edge cuts" along with the board outline. But for panelized boards you should probably follow what the board house says. At seed for example you are supposed to place lines where you want them to mill a V-groove and make a comment about it when you place your order:
