I think the TS wants to know when the trap is sprung - i.e. trap door closed - with an indicator light indicating the trap has been sprung. Door closed - trap sprung - light ON. All this is one event, a sprung trap.
How many different ways can I explain this?
In a set trap, that an animal has yet to trigger, the door is closed. In a sprung trap, the door is also closed. How are you going to differentiate between the two states?
A light has to come on and stay on when the door MOMENTARILY opens and returns to the closed state.
