Hi.

I was wondering if someone has ever constructed a Switch Mode Power Supply using isolated voltage and current sensors connected to a Microcontroller.
If so:
What device (Voltage/Current) have you used and using what protocol ( i2C / SPI etc ) ?
What sampling rate could be achieved ( 200kHz+ ) ?
How responsive was the device with regards to fluctuating output conditions ?

Thanks in advance,

All switchmode PSUs are isolated outpus, you can monitor the voltage using a simple resistor ladder and using the A/D pin.

Thanks for that. If you were to try and measure both on the primary and secondary side of a step-down transformer there would still be a chance for a fault to develop ? Would you happen to know of any ICs that would give a microcontroller isolation ?
