So I installed these new LED lights in my Dining Room and they seemed great at first, super bright and no warm up delay like with CFL’s but I’ve become concerned with their performance. There’s something about them that leaves me feeling odd, it’s hard to describe but it’s some kind of temporal distortion that makes everything, including myself appear stretched. It’s like living in a fun house mirror only it’s not so fun. I suspect the light may be slower than it’s supposed to be but I can’t figure out how to check it. Can my digital multi meter even measure light speed or do I need an oscilloscope? And what is considered normal speed for these lights, the package doesn’t list the specifications.

What do you mean "light speed"?
The speed of light is constant in a vacuum or air.
The source of the light has no effect on its speed.

Rock, not rotate your head. Does the stretch change origination? Do you wear lens of any sort? Have you recently had any surgery?

Sometimes if I move my head too fast the light color shifts towards blue but that's not what concerns me the most. On the first I hung up a new calendar just like I do every year but this morning I looked at it and it said January 2014.

The ones I bought from Walmart have a soft-white output, not blue at all.
Same here I have daylight which is sort of more blue but the warm white or soft white used in the kitchen are very pleasing not at all blue like the daylight ones in the pantry. Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart should all have a selection, including light color to choose from.

I went back to incandescence bulbs for my room. Both ceiling and lamps. And little wet pieces of toilet paper over all LED indicators.

Life is good.

Perhaps you should have looked at it back on the 1st and then maybe you would have put up the right calendar.

A similar thing happens to me when I brush my teeth with an electric toothbrush.
The room lights appear to vibrate with the toothbrush.
