Inductor selection

it's me again, i finally got my inductor.
Now i'm using 220uH,1A inductor.
But, i have problem with my connector ( the wire connects output voltage to load )
since my load is not a resistor, so i need extra-connector to connect my output voltage to load.

I use a crocodile kip ( multi-core wire connects the kip and single core again connects to the multi-core wire by using soldering)
However, the result is i have ZERO output voltage.

My guess would be : the current is too small to supply to multi-core cable.

But, what should I do? Direct connect single-core wire to my load. However, my output voltage is about 50V, would it too large for single-core wire?

thanks in advanced
