Hello i have my dc car regulator which gives 105amps on 12volts dc is there a way to crank it up to 140 or 150 amps?

 

If it's an Alternator it will be fixed inside, if it's a Dynamo they use external regulators, and can be tweaked to give more out.

 

Replace it with one rated at a higher current; and make sure the wiring can handle it.

The alternator should be marked with 3 ratings: idle amps, rated (max) amps, and test voltage. To get maximum current, engine RPM needs to be around 6000.

its a dynamo how to tweak it any idea

 

They use an external Lucas regulators, using relays that are mechanically set with springs,

I usually remove the regulator and make my own electronic one.

 

yes it is but i think this is too much for me changing one for 150$ would be easier thanks anyway
