I know a Widscreen 16:9 Video of 720 X 480 will be 853 X 480 as a Graphic Image.

But a Widscreen 16:9 Video 1920 X 1080 will be what in a Graphic Size?

Are you sure you're not curious about aspect ratio?

 

What do you mean by “graphic size”?

A 1920x1080 video frame is a 1920x1080 image. There is no conversion. If you want to scale it, you half to divide each side by the same number.

 

You will note that

16/9 ratio is 1/0.5625
1920/1080 pixels is 1/0.5625
853/480 pixels is 1/0.5627

and
720/480 pixels is 1/0.667
4/3 ratio is 1/1.34


So the first are 16:9 wide screen,

as you see, 720/480 is not even a 4;3 screen ratio.

Also you see that the 853 by 480 horribly stretches the 720 /480 , making every thing "FAT"

Yes, I scream at the TV every time CNN shows one of the portrait mode videos with the blurred appendages to sides. It's even more annoying than toilet paper on the holder the wrong way.

Let me Tell you what I want to do.

I am Recording Video at 1920 X 1080 in Size.
Now in my Video Editor I am going to do my Editing and Export it as 1920 X 1080 as well.

But as I do my Editing if I want to Insert a Graphic Image but have it Fill the Whole 1920 X 1080 Screen I know I can not just Make my Graphic Image 1920 X 1080 in Size.

If I am Right a Graphic Image is little bit Different in Size.

Now do you know what I am doing?

 

When I use my bitmap editor (PhotoPaint) I can create an image of any size using the custom size dialog box.

 

Well I use Movie Studio Platinum 15 to do my Video Editing.

And I do have my Project Window Set to 1920 X 1080 in Size.

So are you Telling me after I Open my 1920 X 1080 Video and do my Editing if I Insert a Graphic Image I Made 1920 X 1080 it will Fill the Whole Screen?

 

Assuming the graphic you create is compatible to import into your video editing software, then yes.

 

If you enlarge a low resolution image you will see it pixelated.

And it lets you Export Say a Frame from the Movie as JPG.

And if I Look at the Image Specs it Says 853 X 480 in Size.
And this was from a Standard 720 X 480 Widescreen DVD.

So this is what Made me thing a 1920 X 1080 Video Display will not be the same as a JPG.

A 1080p frame is 1920x1080 no matter whether it is in a video or extracted as a still. Full stop. There is no "graphic image" aside from the pixels which are the same no matter how you want to display them.

So, to fill the screen of a 1920x1080 video you need 1920 pixels across and 1080 down. If you are doing some sort of pixels per inch translation, the software might try to scale it but the data is just as it should be. There is no difference, none.
