Thanks for the better pictures; clever pointer.

It looks like the L402 component designator is associated with the burned component, so I'd say it was an inductor.

Hmm... I think L402 is absent from the board. That seems to be F10x, perhaps a fuse.

Hello,

The part could be a ferrite bead.
They probably either use L402 or the two ferrite beads shown next to each other.
Does the part read ca. 0 Ohms on a DMM?

Thanks everybody for the replies. There was a short further down the line that I rectified ( crossed wires). I now need to replace this component. The similar looking ones on the board did measure 0 ohms.
