1-st some movies have the sci -or- sci-fi team working out the "movie physics"
2-nd the movie is pretty much channeled to -or- captured by the original author . . . from somewhere
funny enough i know about from where for aliens . . . and this is multiple . . . those "bug" gizmos "live"/reside in 5D and are also referenced as spirit recyclers . . . basically the time (more exactly - a one ref.-sys of it) exists for some extent to the future* and to some extent to the past - the resource (that time ref.-sys) is limited , and will be reused as soon as the mid-timers forgot their past ... those bugs help spirits to forgot "the prev. past"
it's a multiple recollect (the movie scenario)
another sys is that the bugs is a descent of creatures from . . . say human . . . back to more essential and ?passionate? the causual timeline for (descending back) might come back from the not yet reached future* the Fe+ sets the scene (to reside at) 5D primary
the predecessor movie set something involved to long range space travel hyper-sleep (metabolic slow down) mixed with the mites - that were originally experimental hyper sleep aid (by it's purpose) . . . then somehow got linked to those bugs ??
anyway the metabolic slow down → cryosleep . . . mining Fe+ . . .
. . . ok srew that . . . everything "house" is (human) mind (a reason - secure thinking - casual bound systems) - the atmospheric reactor is a coverup
there was something different in time before it -- usually you set horrifying things -- to block access by linear time to places the "common" creatures should not know -or- the knowing of what would disable them to learn or re-learn-in-a-new-way (create new associations innplace the old ones = replace old "bad" or conceptually erroneous habits with potentially better or more integral ones)
so the bugs (memory cleaners) are guarding the atm. reactor (a " 'time' 'seal' ") - and the ?local? residents have mostly wiped (out)
they send a mission team to explore the "time change" (or send the "casual" guards to explore the "non-casual" overturn -or- "violation")
need to enter the local "house" (mind) "time" (history) . . . running the bypass most likely in 5D scenes (technology)
note : the electric loc in the 3D+t movie is in movie watchers minds thus already in/at the 4-/5D (the relevant information is the logical sequential system for electronic-code-lock)

so let's try to tile this from down-up . . . electronic code lock = bunch of wires (a node-set (somewhat) out of 3D "empty space") that run casual time(sequence) electric signals ((.. basically move time through/to/at **upper system (perhaps by the request for such from there**) ..))
basically move (a part of) future from past (generate a time link . . . sort of ... through ((the nested) "times"(= dimensions)) )

note : 3D+t movie is in wathers' minds - thus already at the 4-/5D scapes . . . the relevant system is the logical mechanism of the electronic code lock -- thought of electron movement (gets manifested) in 4-/5D pushes 3D+t+t(+t) technologies/"physics" , etc. ...
basically you cannot estimate/trial-out the "code" at 5D/6D.Lo because you'd have to estimate it at(/in) the time (using up/out the 1 of your residual dimensions . . . thus falling down to(/by a) time) . . . so you need to make a "movie(@3/4D(/3D+t))" trick . . . another question is -- is the effect of such the same as when guessing the code right @ 1-st . . .
guessing the code is much as solving the 3D-block puzzle right . . . . only when "solving right" means "reassembly" of existing "lock" so it forms type of "un-zipped app." ...
