I bought this instrument used and supposedly fully functional but I think something is wrong with it.
It seems that none of the six push-buttons, just below the screen are working. For example, I want to change the channel 1 input from DC to AC coupling.
The manual says, press channel 1 button, menu changes and there is "Coupling" on the screen, just above the second button from the left. Pressing that button does nothing. None of the six buttons work. Is that scope broken or am I doing something wrong?

 

I don't know whether those buttons are included in this test but try it and see.

 

I did the test: Print/Utility>Self Tst (second from right) >Menu>Keyboard(second from left)> ...nothing
pressed the RAM button, which is the same as Self Tst and the RAM test passed. It seems that this is the only one button that functions. Keyboard (six buttons assy.) bad?

 

It is fairly common if they are rubber buttons with carbon contacts as they age/wear.
There are some kits available to repair them if you can get at them.
