Yeah, cat's don't smell.:p
I bought a house in 1972. It smelled of cat pee. I wore out a gallon of Clorox and an ex-marine trying to get rid of the smell.
I checked again about 3 months ago. The present owner of the house said it still smells of cat pee.
Nobody has been able to get rid of that smell in 44 years!
So, yeah, cats don't leave an odor.:D

[sarcasm/off]
Uggghhh.... bad kitty! bad kitty!!!... mine are educated and well-mannered... you know :p
Normally, cats that are not neutered/splayed are the ones to pee outside their sandboxes

well-mannered
A well mannered cat and a well mannered dog have something in common: a good human.
I almost wrote, "a good owner" but nobody owns a cat.:D

Bottom line: Many things have an odor. If you aren't used to it, you notice it.
I haven't been around a woman for so long that I can tell which neighbor is doing laundry today because most laundry detergents have one kind of perfume or another. I called a neighbor over to help me lift the wet carpeting. He said he couldn't smell any dog odor in the used car.o_O
He owns a dog.

Well, there's an answer to the problem. If I buy a dog, I will quit noticing the odor in the used car!:p
Right now, I figure I'm lucky it's just the odor of the oils in the dog's coat. So glad he didn't pee in there!!!!

Bichons aren't good for anything but lap dogs.:p If I got a dog, I would at least want it to bark at things that don't seem right. I couldn't train a Bichon to bark in 14 months.:( They are excellent lap dogs. Friendly, well behaved, easy to train, don't smell much, and wouldn't say a word if you ran around in circles and barked at them. I know because I tried it.:D

Funniest dog joke I ever saw was a bumper sticker that said, Caution! Attack trained Bichon!
ROFL:p You couldn't train a Bichon to attack its own lunch!

I don't think so. Been there, done the show dog circuits. Got my fill.
Five years after all the puppies were gone, I turned the corner into my subdivision and thought, "How long have the puppies been alone and what do they need?" That's the kind of lingering habit I don't want.:(

I've met a lot of excellent dogs. I learned several dog personalities and was able to communicate good manners and proper boundaries without a glitch. So, I don't have anything against dogs in general, I just don't want the responsibilities of a dog owner right now.

Mild and cool down here, 22°C high (72°F), with lows of 9°C (48°F) in the morning. I really like this temperature, the only complaint being that's way too dry. My lips are cracking and my face feels like it's been stretched by a plastic surgeon. And the shocks I keep getting when I get out of the car.... man are they annoying!

A little too cold and windy for me today. Below 60F and headed for 45F tonight.:(
I think I'll just stay inside until 65F and sunny tomorrow.:)

You just mentioned cold feet in another thread... which reminded me of this one... :)

a hot, 31°C max (89°F) this afternoon, and a cool 15°C (59°F) this morning... too dry for my taste though... my mouth's like I'm hungover in the mornings... parched dry...

It's just right here in Florida. 50F to 70F and dry for the next 5 days. I'm going to learn about replacing the ball joints in an SUV.
Probably going to need a piece of pipe on my 3/4 inch socket set to get enough leverage, but going in from the top looks a lot easier than going in from the wheel. That way goes through about 3 layers of 4-wheel drive apparatus and requires 3 specialized tools. From the top, it's a 3 bolt job. Huge, nasty looking bolts, but just 3 of them. I think I can do that.;)
