I miss sunny winter days. I used to live in Grand Forks, ND - what a sunny place. Now I live in western PA, one of the cloudiest places. Not much Lake Effect Snow, but plenty of lake effect clouds.

I ran that on a calculator 3 times. It comes out to 6.3 hours of sunshine per day, for a 365 day average. I suspect we have more total hours of sunshine in Florida. Did you slip a digit?

I think I understand now. This is like, "solar panel" data...daylight minus cloud time. I was thinking, "daylight hours", 24 hours per day on June 22 at the north pole. Are we talking about that strange, high northern sunshine behavior?

I promise, that much sunshine is not bragging when you're trying to fix a truck at 105F in Phoenix. I know because I did that.
