I remember a -33 in Colorado as a kid. What I remember most is how quiet it was and how the snow squeaked when you walked on it.

Looking for -18 tonight. I'm stuck in my camping trailer with a propane heater. What sucks is Monday is a holiday so I wont' even be able to go to work to warm up.

Close to the maximum No of hrs of sunshine >2300/yr.
I ran that on a calculator 3 times. It comes out to 6.3 hours of sunshine per day, for a 365 day average. I suspect we have more total hours of sunshine in Florida. Did you slip a digit?

Tampa = 2900 hours.
I think I understand now. This is like, "solar panel" data...daylight minus cloud time. I was thinking, "daylight hours", 24 hours per day on June 22 at the north pole. Are we talking about that strange, high northern sunshine behavior?

105 degrees in Phoenix means late May, pleasantly warm. Nothing compared to the 115 degrees of July/August without rain. Have you ever driven with kitchen mitts on??

No...but I had to drive without my sunglasses until they cooled down enough to put them on. Does that count?:D

It's really rainy here in San Francisco.

How rainy is it???

It's so rainy that the mosquitos are using canoes to get around in puddles and find people to bite. :)
