How's the weather?

I have a different problem, the guns I have are guitars and humidity and wood are an issue. I have a 40 years old guitar I recently had the fret board re-done, I paid $50 for it cost me $200 to straighten it because someone didn't take care of it. It's essential to humidify the guitar case or create and environment suitable for the guitar 35% humidity above that the wood swells below 15% it cracks for warps.

I'm glad my brother takes care of the guns. I have a sweet over and under Browning 20 gauge that needs to be shot, but I think the barrel with the new loads might eat it up?

I did not know that R.H. was an issue with guitars!

Same here and it happens every year. It's as if everyone needs to relearn how to drive in snow. :)

Ron
The key word there is "relearn". I learned how to drive in the snow in the Northeast US. Maybe in Pitt, it takes one or two snows to refresh, but where I am at now, there is a paucity of evidence that many have ever learned at all. The most ridiculous behaviors are encountered at any appreciable snow, which is quite rare - it as though they believe that laws of physics are somehow suspended with a large snow. Gross denial of reality is problematic because, as we know, reality is a harsh mistress.

That picture was taken years ago and I don't know if the customer ever got their pizza. I suppose any weather is better than no weather, but I do not look forward to that particular part of winter.

Busted:oops:

How the heck did you find that, it's exactly what URL I researched to get the correct amount of humidity. :p

All I have is a moisture packet type deal that I place in the case before I lock them up. I actually have a humidifier on my furnace, but because of the hard water I don't use it, I think it's time to purchase a RO unit because I live in a desert, winter time is harsh.

God you can find things spot on, I don't know how you do it.

I'm stalking you on the internet.
Must be that software you uploaded to my computer, who say's you can't bug a Mac. Whats funny is I thought I should post the URL, but then thought no-one would care about it.

Until you. :(

Next time I'll post my source, I've learned a lesson today, don't mess with AAC members.

kv:rolleyes:

Edit: I'm also behind a firewall at the Uni, your amazing.

I make it a point to post links to my sources. First, it let's those who are interested know where I got the info so they can investigate further, and, second, it gives credit to those who spent the time publishing the information.

Some here seem to have no reservations about posting others' work without attribution. This bothers me.

The only posts I don't attribute are those in the Jokes thread. I never know where they originate -- they just somehow pop into my inbox unrequested.

7°C, unusually cold and wet even for this time of the year. Things are looking better for next week. My boy and I will be travelling to McAllen and Brownsville, Tx on Wednesday to visit some friends. We'll do some barbecuing if the weather permits it... which it probably will, since we'll all be outdoors-hardened dudes, and no cold-susceptible ladies will be accompanying us on this trip... and if it rains... well then...

Amen to that! Today it was seasoned NY Strip Steaks and we get them custom cut at 2" thick. Sundays are normally grilled beef days around here.

Didn't stop me today. The Steelers were playing in the rain so I figured I could grill out. The meal was great but the end of the game left a bitter taste. :) It was an exciting game though. Best one of the season I think despite the lose.

Very bizarre what they now call a catch or a no-catch. Seen this repeatedly this year. If that was not a "football move" to reach out with the ball to make sure it is over the goal line, then I don't know what a "football move" is. Apparently, I don't because the way the rule is written now, the demonstration of possession has a much higher standard or some such thing.

Imagine the biochemical up and down in a minute or so for those two teams. Fortunately, I am immune to that as "My" team has an absolutely endless supply of disappointment to provide to any fan who is dysfunctional enough to support them.

Had he not reached out for the goal line it would have been ruled a catch. Basic fundamentals. Secure the ball then make the play. Worst that would have happened he would have been tackeled at the goal line and the game would have ended on the next play.

The play after that was no gem either. Really stupid to throw right into a group of so many defenders. Then to have one at the right place just at the right time for an interception from a tipped ball.

But the ball was secure, he didn't bobble it into the end zone, he intentionally reached out with both hands on the ball and did so while already falling to his knees a moment before being hit. I say that guy has a pretty good grasp of the fundamentals.
