...and at 29°C it's no charcoal required!

Best regards
HP:)
So you live in Duluth, uh? .... that explains it... in Monterrey, a summer with highs of up to 45°C (113°F) are not uncommon. In fact, back in the 60's we had the highest temperature ever recorded, which was about 52°C (126°F) ... I'd back this claim with a link, but I couldn't find it. I remember if from memory. I read that info once in an encyclopedia (Collier's) we had at home when I was a kid.

Let me know if you need help finding a new connector and terminals of the same type/brand ... I have a knack for that
I appreciate that, but the job is done. There's a Dorman aftermarket kit which includes a pigtail with the sensor for only a few dollars more than the sensor alone. Oddly, theres a connector kit that costs twice as much and does not include the sensor. So I went ahead and replaced the sensor also. For under $30 I'm not going to sweat it. Van runs, codes are cleared and so far so good.

ok... now I gotta take
care of
a leak...
:D
"Residential Plumbing" is the label on that box of parts.:p

Kinda frisky out there before sunrise this morning. Defroster and windshield wipers to stop the windshield from fogging up.
But only people in tropical places call 66F (19C) frisky.:D
Probably because we forgot where we put our jacket, a long time ago.
Still in the dry season. The heat index will get to 98F (37C) this afternoon.
Over 30 degrees of difference in a day usually indicates low humidity but I see 50% to 85% and that's not low.

Oh well. It's still winter in Florida, and that's better than summer in Florida. I can go from "too cold to be comfortable" to "dripping sweat" in one day. I just have to select my preference. Only another hour until the outside temperature is above 70F, and that's comfortable enough.:)

I need to put the dashboard back together now that I've finished measurements about, "Why the dome light never goes off".

I had the dome light issue on our old Honda Odyssey. After driving it for two days with the light on, my wife pointed to a huge button on the dashboard that turns it on/off.

Smart wife!:)
But you gotta know I would have figured that out before I tore the dashboard apart to find the short in the MPU.;)

Hola Número 12,

Your car (or there is more than one?) seem to be in permanent reconstruction, repair or it is mostly preventative maintenance?

Rather limited myself for anything practical in that area, I feel a sane envy of people like you.

I have my fingers crossed for good weather across the country from mid-May through mid-June. Taking another cross-country Mega Grand Tour: Philly, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, Phoenix, LA, San Jose, Portland, Boise, Pocatello, Bozeman, Billings, Bismarck, Fargo, Minneapolis, Madison, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and back to Philly. 7,500 miles altogether (yeah, I'm crazy; but this is how I get my kicks, so don't be dissin' it). By the time I get back home, the only two states in the Lower 48 still on my Bucket List will be Florida and Alabama, which I'll save for another trip.

One disappointment already: one of the most beautiful places on this planet, the Pacific Coast Highway from Monterey down through Big Sur to Morro Bay, will be out of bounds because the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge is out and replacement won't be completed until sometime this Fall. Bummer. I've been down the coast road many times, and wanted to experience it again.

Until next year, I'll have to be content with this pic from my October 2010 trip:

Enjoy your trip, looks like a good one. I'm not sure I could get it done in a month.

If you need a any sites to see in Pittsburgh, Let me know.

It's a 12 year old car that was owned by people who had never heard of maintenance, repairs, or even cleaning.
An axle bearing or a differential can be replaced in a day. Figuring out the wiring in a car with at least 8 microprocessors and the wires hidden at all times is a lot more difficult. There were 4 problems with the air conditioner air flaps, all MPU operated. At least 5 failed functions in the interior and exterior lighting and the, "security" system, at least four microprocessors involved in that stuff. The ball joints and brakes are a piece of cake compared to several microprocessors communicating with each other using at least 2 different protocols, and all of them are secret (commonly called, "proprietary".) There is no instruction manual for any microprocessor in the car. I had to measure everything to find out what it was doing and I had to join an Internet Forum to ask what those things were supposed to be doing before I could figure out if they were even broken! Throw in a couple of errors in the wiring diagrams and you have a serious mess on your hands!!!

One of the best things I ever did was a 30 day tour of the U.S.
Nowhere near seeing all the states, but that wasn't my goal.
The goal for me is just getting out on the open road and letting the miles roll by, enjoying being away from the crowding, the noise and the urban sprawl of the East Coast. I've felt that pull ever since moving here from Colorado back in the 1970's; until then, I never felt the need to just plain get away.
