It already has one. That's why it doesn't work.:D
The wiring diagram shows that the front and rear dome lights are on the same wire, but the front never shuts off.
They are obviously not on the same wire, but they are on the same microcontroller.;)
The door sensor is on the door latching mechanism and might need to replaced or just some lube..

You are the fifth person to tell me that after I checked the door switches.
This might seem strange, but I try everything that is obvious and half the things that are not obvious before I ask for help.

I think the last winter cold front just went by. Two days of most glorious weather awaits me.
There was a good, long rain Tuesday night and most of Wednesday.
Guess what? The, "Moon roof" leaks.
That's a window in the roof of the car.
It already doesn't open.
I have a caulking gun full of black silicone ready to go.;)
Same thing I used to stop the rain from running on the engine through the windshield wiper cowling.

There is a down side to our neighbours to the west in AB.

Fire officials in Alberta do not yet know what started a massive wildfire that chased the entire population out of Fort McMurray AB, but they now know the only force that can stop it will be a significant change in the weather.
Supercharged by winds of up to 70 km/h, the wildfire ballooned to 85,000 hectares overnight and is now raging on several fronts near the oilsands city.
The main fire, now south of the city, is expected to continue to burn out of control today and perhaps for many days to come.
Max.
