Wow.
If I want to drive from home to the north-est place in Norway, I'd go via Sweden. They have better roads. :) Appx 24 hrs ride. Just your backyard. :)

For reference ... Houston is about a four hour drive from Dallas. SE of Dallas.

I know it's a 13 hour drive from San Antonio to the top of the Texas panhandle ... when the speed limit increased to 65. Now that's it's 75 mph on the highways, I can get from Dallas to Albuquerque NM in 13 hours. That was my first layover on the way to Las Vegas two summers ago.

On time on the San Antonio trip, I ran into a dust storm by Odessa Texas and then a snow storm from south of Amarillo to Oklahoma, where I lived at the time, both were zero visibility at times. That trip took about 24 hours driving.

El Paso had a snow storm Christmas day. They are about 624 miles from me. I only know that because my wife asked where the snow was to tell her friends in Michigan.

I heard that song ... again ... Saturday night, at the pool tournament. Previous to that the Sunday before that at the pool league game.

Wx is getting back to normal. 7 day forecast is for clear skies, highs in the 50's, and lows in the 30's. Saturday, the high here was 76F...Santa broke a sweat.

Well, after last winter's historic snows, so far it's been nothing here in Boston. Record high warm December. Forecast for an inch tomorrow. Wow  Lets hope we don't get walloped during the next couple of months.

Been the same here in VT, though we're supposed to get snow, sleet, and freezing rain tomorrow. I think Boston is in the way of that storm too.

Several days of storms, tornadoes, many people killed, epic flooding, state declared a disaster area. These have been dark days.

Cold has finally caught up with us down here... the average expected temperature for next week is 10°C (50°F) with constant drizzles. Of course this sort of weather may be laughable from the point of view of the members of this forum that reside above parallel 40°N, but it's a bit uncomfortable for people here.

Low 80's all week. Heat index nearly 90. Still dripping sweat in my glasses as I disassemble a Ford Explorer, but it's a great relief compared to the summer heat index closer to 103.
Below 70 on Fri,Sat,Sun(rain),Mon,Tue,Wed(rain).
4 out of the next 6 days will be great for working in the back yard.:p

Tomorrow is 30% off day at the Automotive Dismantling and Recycling Emporium (Don't you dare let them hear you call it a junk yard.) My nephew went today and spotted some $150 seats I need for $30 each. Guess where I'll be tomorrow morning!:D

Here's my response to the topic of How's The Weather based on the 1970s episodes of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon.

Carson: It's really cold here.
McMahon: How cold is it???
Carson: It's so cold, it's killing all the mosquitoes. (laughter) :p:D:)

Here in San Francisco, we usually don't have mosquitoes, but it's so cold that it gives me the urge to pee every 20 minutes. An excellent example of how things contract (mainly my bladder) with decreasing temperature.

McMahon: How cold is it?
Carson: It's so cold, an exhibitionist walked up and described himself to me.
An ever better response is "It's so cold that exhibitionists are only emailing images of their private parts instead of actually going out on the street".

However, that goes on in all kinds of weather even when it's warm and sunny.
