We are having a taste of a hurricane on the south west coast.

 

Beautiful day in northeast Mississippi. 60 this afternoon and sunny. More of the same for the next several days: highs in low 60's and lows in 40's.

I saw the Owl spirit waiting for me last night at the house just before the storm.

As usual with these types of things in lore it could be a good or bad sign.

 

Perfect weather for my needs!
Very happy about my progress rehabilitating my next used car.
Plenty of, "dry" so it doesn't sink into the back yard.
So dry that the grass quit growing so I don't even have to slow down and mow the lawn.
On the other hand, my garbage disposer committed suicide tonight.
That's going to cost me half a day.
I fixed 9 problems on the car and have $62 in it, so far.
Shucks, the auntie-freeze alone costs more than that, so fixing the electric windows, electric door locks, a broken ground wire, the need for $100 ignition keys, the volume control on the radio, the outside mirror adjusters, the front sway bar, shocks, and springs is a lot to get done that cheap! My biggest advantage is that the previous owner was even cheaper than I am. That hippo wouldn't even wipe the dog dander out of the dashboard, and soapy water is nearly free!

Something in the switchover circuit died too. Have it running stable now with the battery removed. Connected a external 12vdc power source into the ONT AUX DC input on the top of the power module.

It has been that cold in the GTA that a lake can freeze over? I am only 4.5 hours drive south and mornings have been cold but the days fairly warm. It was 13C today. It will be almost 16C over the weekend.

We need to start building that wall on our northern border to keep that cold air up north where it belongs!
