hye everyone,

my final project need me to link pic 16F877A with solar.. i know that it needs 5V to supply for the pic and as for solar we can just use voltage regulator right? or do any of you have another way? i didnt have any idea on how should i link them as im not very familiar with solar. so can anyone help me? thanks in advance

Do you simply want to read the output voltage from the solar array?
Maybe create a solar tracker?

 

The OP probably wants to power the PIC from solar.

Use a DC/DC converter such as LTC3105 and use a zener to clamp the voltage.

@mcgyvr : Link them to power up ir sensor and alarm. No, i want to detect motion using ir sensor and when it detect motion the alarm will on but of course i need solar to generate energy and use it as supply for them.

 

Are you only detecting motion in the daytime or will you need batteries?

 

detect in night too. indeed, i need batteries.
