It's hard to give a good reply without any idea of the relay in question. If you have a number on it, then the manufacturer should have the information.
Do you have any idea of the type and voltage on the coil?
Yes I do hv the info on it. It is a 6v d.c. 400 ohms , 150mA, single pole double throw switch. what i want to know is tht how to identify which terminal is the coil terminal and which are the normally closed and normally open ones? Thx fr replying to my thread
Two pairs of terminals will have some continuity between them. One pair will read 400 ohms - that's the coil. The other two will read 0 ohms - that's the common and NC (normally closed) contact. Put 6 volts on the coil, and the common terminal and the one that checked open before will show 0 ohms (the NO, or normally open terminal).
