Hello guys,

Right been trying to find out how to do this for a while and if I have found it I don't know I have.
I need to convert 9V RMS to DC.
How would this be done?

By the way yes a very simple thing I don't doubt but I am new to this area of engineering mathematics.

Cheers

Welcome to AAC!

Is this a question about mathematical conversion
or is this a question about electronic circuit design?

There are several good RMS to DC chips around. Analog Devices has several, including parts from Linear Technology. Here is one example.

Fortunately, no mathematics is necessary. The RMS value is defined as the equivalent DC value that would deliver the same power as the periodic waveform. The engineering mathematics is only necessary for finding the RMS value of a periodic waveform.
