Hi everybody, I’m working on a little project,
I would like to replace the 2d battery which supply pover to a motor with a rechargeable one connected to a solar panel. How I can dimension the solar panel and I guess the charger for the batteries?
The motor needs 2.4w
Thanks

hi Erick,
I am assuming the 2d, are two D size 1.5V nominal batteries.? ie: it is a 3V motor requiring 2.4W/3V = ~ 0.8Amps.?

The Solar panel and battery AHr capacity will depend upon the motors required operating time period and amount of sunshine available.

Hi! Thanks for the answer!
The amps should be 0.6.
The motor has to work for 3/4 hours a day. The solar panel will be outside. Not sure for how long it can be under the sun.
Maybe to compensate the charge I’ll need a bigger battery or a charger pack as the one used for charging mobiles...
Any good advice? Thanks!

Is that 45 min. / day or 3 to 4 hours / day for motor operation ?
Seems a rechargeable D should be around 10,000 mA h ?
