Age is not the question, the question is when or if you have ever had
the whole peace of the pie. Even some ceo's don't have the whole
picture of what he is working on.Do we have any members that has full
control of the entire process that he is working on and understands it.
I understand that Bill Gates is going to retire very soon,it has been anounced. I don't thing his mind would have the capacity to
comprehend all that surrounds him. So will robots with high speed
computers take over, any predictions for the future how or who will have
control.Maybe your post will meaningful for the future, how soon.
D.A.R.P.A. already has driverless car and military vehichles that could be
in use in a few years. Has any one ever seen the wireing diagram for
the latest microprcessor. Do they still use the internal resistance and
capacity or another method used,or can there be another method be possible since electron theory has not changed. So where do you find your self.I am looking in the past for things that have been missed.
Age is the question. Look at the title of the thread. Perhaps you should start a soapbox thread.:D

I bet you look like you’re 27:).
Not quite. I just now posted a picture of myself in my profile.
Are you still working?
Nope. I retired about a year ago, and I'm lovin' it!
How about you? What do you do besides ride bikes?

EDIT: I suppose that we should take this conversation offline (PM) if we are to continue it.

Hi...

I'm 25 yrs old..:)
I really don't have an interest in circuits and electronics but I need to love it...
I need to learn to love my career as an engineer... Not to be a weird or a geek exploring electrons or what so ever.

Electronics is very interesting...its just that most of the time it makes my head goes empty (and usually I have to see my doctor due to headache :D).

Through this I'm looking forward to know and learn about this..

Help me guys.:)

No point in earning lots of money if the doctor gets it all...

Do what you love, and have a better life!

One of the reasons I started with electronics is it is the nearest thing to real magic on this planet. That and a lot of the ideas are just plain cool.

I'm 22. I touched on electronics with my job (air-conditioning mechanic) and now more so interested in the micro controller part so far. Its the idea of primarily making the components do what you want, being able to control that fascinates me.

70 years young.

I am X-WB4KPJ, so I've been in and out of hobby electronics for over 30 years.

As a youngster, way back in the last century, I had a more than mild interest in radio. A neighbor, disabled as a result of WWII, repaired radios at home, and I used to hang around with him, learning a bit of theory now and then. I even tried my hand at making a receiver, but unsuccessfully. I also spent many hours DXing with the family AM receiver.

As high school graduation approached, my Grandparents offered to sent me to TIE (Tenn Institute of Electonics), but I declined, saying I preferred not spending the rest of my life repairing radios. Duh. Can anyone say "lack of foresight?"

Don't feel like you missed all that much. The good-paying, respect-generating jobs were only on the matchbook covers.

Still, I can't think of anything that might be more fun (but I'm buying lottery tickets so I can see if I missed anything).

Thanks for the kind words, beenthere, but I still wonder what might have been. I might have been the guy that invented the superhetrodynedisinfragerralator.

As consolation, I can proudly say that I contributed not one whit to the mass greed in evidence today. LOL!!!
